Pramada took the sage's instruction and fasted wholeheartedly on Padmini Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu was moved by Pramada's devotion and came before her. She requested a son who would be powerful, revered, and unbeatable, save by Lord Vishnu himself. Lord Vishnu fulfilled her desire, and she soon had a magnificent son named Kartavirya Arjuna, who grew up to become a strong monarch.

People rise up early in the morning on Padmini Ekadashi and take a sacred bath. They fast for the entire day, which means they don't consume anything. Instead, they pray to Lord Vishnu, sing hymns to him, and read stories about him.
